My Beloved Kantam Chacha

- Sharmila Pratap

Remembering Prof. Kanteshwar Raj Saxena with LoveSome people leave behind achievements that the world remembers, while others leave behind memories that the heart treasures forever. Kantam Chacha was one such special person in my life.
Whenever I think of Prof. Kanteshwar Raj Saxena, I find myself smiling as I remember the loving, affectionate uncle I fondly called Kantam Chacha. Beyond the distinguished professor, the accomplished scholar, and the visionary, he was someone who held a very special place in our family and in my heart.
Coming from a joint family, some of my happiest childhood memories are of the road trips we took together. Those journeys were so much more than just travelling from one place to another; they were moments of togetherness, laughter, affection, and memories that I will cherish all my life. I still remember how he would pamper us, make us feel special, and share his thoughts and advice in his own calm, gentle, and reassuring way.
There was something so comforting about his presence. His affection never needed grand gestures; it was felt in the little things he did for us.What I admired most about him was the beautiful person he was, beyond all his academic achievements. Despite his immense knowledge, experience, and stature, he was always so humble, approachable, and warm.
He never made you feel the distance between a distinguished professor and a family member. With us, he was simply our beloved Kantam Chacha loving, caring, wise, and always there with a kind word or a reassuring smile.I feel truly blessed to have known him so closely and to have shared those precious moments with him.
His contribution to Zoology and education will continue to inspire generations, and his professional accomplishments will always be remembered with great respect. But my memories of him will always be more personal the journeys we shared, the affection he showered upon us, his gentle advice, and the warmth he brought into our family.                        Some bonds remain untouched by time, and some people never really leave us because a part of them lives on in our memories, our conversations, and the love they have left in our hearts.

Dear Kantam Chacha, I wish I could relive those beautiful moments with you just once more. I will always be grateful for the love you gave us and for the wonderful memories that I can return to whenever I miss you. You were not just a remarkable man whom the world respected; you were our own, our beloved Chacha, and that will always mean so much more to me.You will forever be remembered with love, missed with a heavy heart, and cherished with the fondest memories. Your place in my heart will always remain special.

With all my love and everlasting fond memories........
 Sharmila Pratap.
