In Loving Memory of Professor Kanteshwar Raj Saxena
-Kirti Saxena
Professor Kanteshwar Raj Saxena was my beloved uncle, the husband of my father’s eldest sister. I have the fondest memories of visiting him in Hyderabad and staying with him and his family alongside my parents
.
Whenever we visited, he made us feel like royalty. He was generous, kind, affectionate, and welcoming, and he had a remarkable gift for making everyone around him feel special. One of the qualities that stood out most was his wonderful jovial nature.
He was a bubbly, cheerful, and exuberant gentleman, full of life and warmth. His infectious enthusiasm and affectionate manner made spending time with him an absolute joy.
I particularly remember one holiday when I was studying Zoology in college and staying with him in Hyderabad. He showed me a book he had authored and took a genuine interest in my academic pursuits. His deep respect for education and his encouragement to pursue my studies to the highest level left a lasting impression on me. That interaction remains a cherished memory.
Professor Saxena was also a devoted family man. He adored his wife and children and treasured the time he spent with them. His love for his family was evident, just as his kindness and generosity extended to everyone fortunate enough to be part of his life.
It is especially meaningful to me that my son, Krish Raj Saxena, carries his initials—KRS. It feels like a beautiful, if ironic, connection across generations, linking my son to a man who holds such a special place in my heart.
It was a privilege to have known Professor Kanteshwar Raj Saxena and to have shared those precious moments with him. I will always remember him with deep affection, gratitude, and admiration.
His warmth, zest for life, love of family, and unwavering belief in the value of education continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
Professor KRS’s legacy lives on—not only through his scholarly contributions and his family, but also through the countless lives he enriched with his kindness, generosity, and joyful spirit.
